As I've told you before, when I'm parked in the cafe car park I'm right next to a large swampy paddock. I got up early yesterday morning and right outside my window were 'mother and baby' Pukeko, fosicking for breakfast in the first of the morning sun.
I sat in the sun and watched them while I had my early morning hot lemon and honey drink.
They are so cute and have such large feet. The baby kept falling into holes in the grass then would rush up to it's mother and eat from her beak...
Then another family appeared... Spring is definitely in the air... But so is the snow... So my fire's going!
